10 Things You'll Regret Later!

If you’re too lost in the forest and can no longer see the trees, you might end up in old age looking back and wishing you had done things differently. By that time, regrets are the last thing you want to be living with.

As Liza Minnelli once said “If you have one foot in yesterday and one foot in tomorrow – you’re pissing all over today.”

Listening to your elders is a great way to gain some perspective from what they’ve learned in their lives, but just in case, we’ve put together a list of ten things to keep you on track. Happy living!

1. Not using sunscreen WEAR SUNSCREEN. Your luscious pale skin will thank you for it well into your later years.

2. Being scared to do things

The better you get at trying new things, the less scary you will realise it is. Going to the movies by yourself is so much better not having to listen to your friend natter the whole way through. Try it!

3. Not spending time with your family

Our families might drive us mad, but they’re still our family. Spend time with them, even if only a little bit. You might have a better time than you think.

4. Staying in a job you hate

Life.Is.Too.Short. If you find yourself justifying your life – make a new choice. Don’t do it for the money. Do it for the way it makes you feel.

5. Not realising how beautiful you were/ are

When we look in the mirror, what do we hear being said? Are these things positive? Start changing those voices until they’re filled with admiration. You are never more beautiful than you are right now.

6. Not telling people how you really feel

Don’t let the moment pass before you speak your true feelings. It might lead to rejection, but chances are the worst thing you can do is flatter someone.

7. Holding grudges

Holding grudges is worse for your health than smoking (or so I heard). Holding on to hate does nothing for anybody. Let it go. Forgive people because they’re also human. You’ll feel better.

8. Working too much instead of living in the moment

When was the last time you looked up from your computer screen/ smartphone? Do you live by the beach but can’t remember the last time you were actually in the ocean? Don’t let life pass you by. Look up.

9. Fearing failure

Fear can be crippling! And not many humans escape the fear of failure. But don’t listen to the shame gremlins in your head. Tell them to shutup and get out there. Failing is living.

10. Not trying yoga!

Ok I threw this one in there myself but seriously! Yoga improves lives! I mean I know it’s easy for me to say but come on … "
